The Guest Speaker

Today's class was probably my favorite out of the year so far. hearing Dr. Burton speak about Dostoevsky, and existentialism was really interesting. looking back on my reading of Crime and Punishment I noticed that indeed I was feeling what the author had wanted me too, the scene with the beating of the horse sticks in my mind as having almost made me physically ill. Dr. Burton really helped me to understand Dostoevsky as well as Crime and Punishment. I would really like it if he could come back so that we could finish our discussion with him (sometimes I really hate the bells).
